Bolt set for gas and choke valve Zenith carburettor Ford Model A 1928-1931
Bushing set for throttle shaft from Zenith carburettor
Ford Model A 1928-1931
This is a set of 2 knurled bushings
If your carburetor body is severely worn around the throttle shaft,
this set will help. Brings the holes back to standard size
Assembly instructions:
Drill or mill the hole carefully with a 5/16 drill bit.
Tap the hole with a soft hammer or pick with the knurled end facing outward.
If a heavier press fit is used, the hole may need to be drilled with a 9/32 drill bit
or a reamer can be ground or adjusted in size.
For assembly by bonding with epoxy or cold metal, use a 0" (.316) drill bit.
The inner blind hole is usually not reground
the bushing may need to be shortened if it is too long

Technical note:
When this shaft is worn out,
This can cause your engine to no longer idle properly.
It is important that the shaft fits well into the carburettor.
If your casting is worn, you can drill out the holes
and use an oversized shaft A-9581-OS .
