If the old U-joint no longer works so well,

This can be an alternative to purchasing a new U-joint.

With this kit you will receive the cross, bushings and locking rings.

Danger!

Does not work on early universal joints that were riveted together.

Installation instructions:

Instructions for installing the universal joint kit

1. Remove the old unit: Pull the snap rings out of the fork using a thin boltdriver

to lift off the snap ring (the snap ring looks like a 'C' around the yoke).

2. Insert the new cross into the yoke, making sure it lines up with the two holes of the yoke.

3. Tap the bearings into the 1/2 round holes of the yoke and around the cross,

so that the groove in the bearings matches the slot in the cross (yoke).

4. Insert the snap rings to prevent them from falling out.

5. Do this on both forks.

Voila! You now have a built-in universal joint!
