Ford Model A 1928-1931
The bushing at the top of the steering column is used to align the throttle and spark rod and the steering shaft.
Before installing the bushing at the top of the column, slide the throttle and spark rod through the bushing.
Slide A-3570 Anti-Rattle onto each rod 14" from the end of the handle and insert them through their holes at the bottom of the steering column.
Then tap the socket into place.
This will make it much easier for you to get the throttle and ignition rods through the end of the steering column.
Also note that from June 1930 until the end of production the bolt holes were eliminated
and a V-shaped tab was added to secure the socket.
The reproduction does not have the V-nose.
Originally this was an unprocessed zinc die-cast.
