Pressing tool for wheel bolts Ford Model T 1926-1927 Ford Model A 1928-1931
Wheel bolts for front axle with thread 1/2-20
Ford Model A 1928-1931
This is a wheel bolt
Made like the originals, except that the shoulders of these are slightly longer,
to accommodate the extra thickness of cast iron drums that everyone uses today.
Notice :
If you want to use these wheel bolts with stamped original steel drums,
you need to sand down the length of the shoulder.
Important:
These wheel bolts hold the hub and the drum together
These bolts are not easy to push in like modern bolts
They MUST be pressed in a hydraulic 30-40 ton press
Our hardened press-in sleeve A-1109-T is best suited for this purpose
Notice :
You need 5 wheel bolts per brake drum
Danger:
These wheel bolts must not be welded
Problem treatment:
If the wheel bolts were not pressed in properly or were welded in
the wheel nut sits on the shaft and the wheel does not become tight.
In this case, use the A-1012-W washers
