Rubber grommet for starter rod on firewall
Ford Model A 1928-1930
Description
This type of starter rod cover was used from 1928 to August 1930.
Your engine bulkhead has a D-nut on each side of the rod hole.
From the start of production until July 1930, the grommet was used without the steel cover.
If your firewall has D-nuts on the engine side of the engine bulkhead, the grommet mounts inside the cab.
If the D-nuts are mounted inside the cab, the grommet is mounted on the engine side.
