T-3042-TK

This is a specially machined camshaft nut with thrust washers

to eliminate noise at low speeds.

A must when using reground camshafts on 1912-23 engines

Installation instructions:

1. File or sand 2 bumps from the inside of the Ford gear cover.

Smooth the surface by removing a minimum of material.

2. Install special camshaft sprocket nut.

Be careful not to deburr the surface on which the washer rests.

Assemble the front panel and check the end play.

Use required washers and or a combination of gaskets and washers,

to achieve an endgame of 0.005".

Use a dial gauge or feeler gauge to check the fit between the cover and the pressure washer.

Tap the camshaft back and forth while checking end play.
