Aluminum gears are the best, especially for tuned engines and cars with generators that are used a lot. 0.003 oversize

If you are only replacing the large timing gear, you will probably need this oversize gear

If the backlash between the gears is too large, it will cause both gears to wear out much faster

It is recommended to replace both the large camshaft timing gear and the small crankshaft timing gear when overhauling an engine

Also replace the lock nut T-3050-B
