with the standard gear ratio on the rear axle 3.78:1 (34-9 teeth)

This drive unit with the high-speed ratio on the rear axle 3.54:1 (39-11 teeth) is bolted to the bottom of the cardan tube

The matching speedometer cable has the part number A-17260-AU

This speedometer cable has a key connection at the bottom of the gearbox and a square at the top of the speedometer

Annotation:

In some early speedometer drives with the deep hole, a small spacer must be inserted,

otherwise the speedometer cable will slip back and slide out of the top of the speedometer.
