This drive unit is bolted to the bottom of the cardan tube

The matching speedometer cable has the part number A-17260-B
This speedometer cable has a square connection at the bottom of the gearbox and a square connection at the top of the speedometer
Annotation:
In some early speedometer drives with the deep hole, a small spacer must be inserted,
otherwise the speedometer cable will slip back and slide out of the top of the speedometer.
