Tool for checking the float level
Ford Model A 1928-1931
With this little tool there is no more guesswork about how high the fuel level is in the float housing.
Attaches to the bottom of the Zenith carburetor to adjust the float level exactly where it should be.
Comes with instructions
Test instructions:
1. Turn off the gasoline and replace the drain plug with the included barbed drain plug/gasket.
2. Insert the wire into the fuel hose and slide the hose over the fitting,
3. Now bend the hose into a "J" shape so that the top of the fuel hose is above the surface of the float chamber gasket.
4. Turn on the petcock and observe the fuel level. The correct fuel level is 5/8" below the carburetor gasket
5. Adjust the fuel level by removing/addinggasket s to the float valve or bending the float.
6. Once the correct level is reached, remove the gauge and reinsert the drain plug.
