No changes to your engine are required

Installation instructions:

A shorter water pipe must be used for the water pumps

(this is not included), see part number T-3939-WP - black or T-3939-BWP - brass.

It is recommended to use a 180 degree thermostat, part number A-8270

Notice :

Don't forget to order the V-belt in the correct size,

The following information is the most commonly used V-belt sizes for this water pump.

HOWEVER, if your vehicle does not have the original size of the fan pulley

or a transitional year, you need to measure the size you need.

or add 4" to your current belt size when installing a water pump

Check the belt length required for this water pump,

with a string before you order.

1909-16 vehicles use a 31" V-belt

1917-25 vehicles use a 32" V-belt

1926-27 vehicles use a 36" V-belt

Technical tip:

The only way to accurately measure the required V-belt is to

adjust the fan bracket so that the pulleys are in place,

where the V-belt is smallest.

Then place a string around the pulleys and measure the string.

If you measure the outside of the V-belt you will get an incorrect size.

Even a metal measuring tape does not provide an exact size.
