Description

Electric fuel pumps were never originally used,

but are required under certain circumstances,

especially if late downdraft or Weber carburetors were installed.

This is a high quality Carter brand 6 volt pump with a pressure of 4 psi. (0.275 bar)

If you are using a carburetor that requires less than 4 psi,

you need to install a regulator between the fuel pump and the carburetor.

The regulator has part number A-9350 .

This pump works on both positive and negative ground.

Notice :

The poor fuel supply (low gravity level)

the Model T's from 1909-1925 significantly reduced engine power,

especially when driving uphill.

For this reason, Henry placed the fuel tank higher on models from 1926 onwards.

This special low pressure fuel pump ensures better performance on slopes.

If you have a 1926-1927 model with the tank in the hood,

you don't need this fuel pump

Danger:

The fuel pump does not act as a shutoff.

If the pump is not running, fuel will still pass through.
